Preschool Information

Welcome to our School
We are a non-denominational Christian Preschool with programs for children 3 to 5 years old. Our school building houses Preschool, Elementary, Middle and High School and is located in Noblesville.  Our focus is on teaching character development and helping your child meet developmental benchmarks in education.  We believe that children learn as they play and when actively engaged, so we provide a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated activities.  We provide a loving Christian environment where God’s love is not only the basis of our teaching but is also modeled by our teachers and all those associated with our program.

LCS offers a variety of programs and choices of days with hours for the AM program being 8:45-12:45 pm and the Full Day being 8:45-2:45 pm (Drop off 8:30-8:45 am) (Pick up 12:45-1:00 pm and 2:45-3:00 pm).  All students eat lunch at school and are asked to bring a packed lunch daily.  Students all have the opportunity to attend music classes but full day students are also offered PE, Art and Library Buddies depending on the day they attend.  Programs offered include our 3's classes, 4's classes and our 5+ (Transitional Kindergarten) classes.

Contact us to schedule a tour!  One of the best ways to see what we are all about is to visit our campus.  We look forward to showing friends our facility and answering any questions you may have.  Children are invited to come with their parents on visits and we are never surprised when they want to join in the classroom activities!

3's Program
The three to four year-old child blossoms and grows in our open-ended, experience oriented class. This class promotes the development of oral language, self-help skills, and turn-taking. Each day provides time for the joy of creative expression with hands-on art using many different mediums. Gross and fine motor skills which lead to emergent writing, are emphasized. This literacy-rich program builds alphabet recognition and phonemic awareness. It is designed to provide children with multiple opportunities for success as they make discoveries about their world. The three year-old program has a ratio of 1:7 with two teachers in each classroom. The 3's classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays (2-Day) with a choice of times being the AM class (8:45-12:45 pm) or FULL DAY class (8:45-2:45 pm).

4's (Prekindergarten) Program
These language-rich classes promote kindergarten readiness. Our four to five year-olds flourish with a hands-on  curriculum set up to emphasize emergent literacy and writing, alphabet recognition and phonemic awareness. Each day provides time for the joy of creative expression using art activities which utilize many different media and jointly encourage the development of gross and fine motor muscles. The children will be introduced to a variety of emergent literacy, writing, alphabet recognition, and phonemic awareness activities. Children experiment with math concepts such as sorting, graphing, quantifying, patterning, and predicting. With an atmosphere that encourages experimenting and problem-solving, this class allows children to explore and discover their world. They develop self-help and socialization skills, decision-making abilities and become confident learners. There is a 1:7 ratio with two teachers in each classroom. For this class you may choose either a (3-Day) Monday, Wednesday and Friday program, or a (4-Day) Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday program. You may choose an AM class (8:45-12:45 pm) or FULL DAY class (8:45-2:45 pm).

5+ (Transitional Kindergarten)
This class is designed for the older preschooler (5 years old),  who is developmentally ready to experience more direct instruction. This class also emphasizes emergent literacy, writing, alphabet recognition, and phonemic awareness through activities that involve the whole child. Basic math concepts and number recognition are taught with a hands-on approach. Children have many opportunities to experiment, predict, and problem solve. The open-ended approach, in addition to teacher direction at this age level, stimulates creativity in many ways, especially through art and science. Some special 5+ activities include classroom field trips, the Letter People curriculum, and beginning reading groups. This class has a 1:7 ratio with a lead teacher and an assistant. It is held Monday through Thursday (4-Day) each week with choice of times being the AM class (8:45-12:45 pm) or FULL DAY class (8:45-2:45 pm).
